History
The word “frišs” in Latvian has long since denoted something fresh. Therefore, it seemed like the perfect name for a drink to be enjoyed on gourmands’ picnics and at summer parties. Grandmas love to tell the story of how elderberry has been considered to be a holy plant since days of old, offering protection against evil and being widely used in folk medicine.
Brewing
This refreshing shandy is brewed from our own lager and natural elderberry soda in a ratio of 6:5, with an added drop of the freshness of quince. We brew not only the beer, but also the soda made from black elderberry extract ourselves.

Best enjoyed on a warm day, when your Frišs has been poured into a glass, chilled to a temperature of +5 °C and a couple of pieces of ice are floating lazily amidst the golden bubbles. It goes down a treat during a celebration in the company of friends.
